I was in college when Sig Eps still had "little sisters" called Golden Hearts. During the time that I was in college, nationals requested that Golden Hearts be discontinued. (This is my recollection, I'm sure some of the brothers from that time period would have a much better idea.)

But anyway...I was already a Golden Heart. Normally, the brothers would vote at a chapter meeting to decide on who would be the Sig Ep Sweetheart at the spring formal. It was basically a way that the brothers showed their appreciation. Since I was already a little sister, I could wear their letters.

This probably isn't of much assistance, but more of a history lesson.

I wish I could help more. Best of luck!
