Actually, a truly "mean, snippy, angry" response would be more along the lines of:

If you are even THINKING about asking such things, you are obviously a shallow, immature idiot who doesn't know what Greek life is about. You would be lucky if ANY sorority ANYWHERE gave you a bid. Do everyone a favor and don't bother rushing because you are doing it for the wrong reason.

But NO ONE said that to you, because I don't think anyone believes that. People are trying to help you before you fall on your face in real life, with real sorority members, at your real school.

Seriously, this is a message board. No one is going to fly to your side, hold your hand, and say "well honey, I don't know if you know this but...sometimes this and that...etc etc etc" and take 500 words to say something that should have been said in five.
