Why did you join Sigma? Share your rush story :)

I joined Sigma because I loved the people in it! I went through formal recruitment earlier this year and at my school the first day we had to go to all of the sororities events. When I went through formal I had two main choices of the five, Sigma and another sorority. I went through recruitment and everyone was really nice, and I got called back to the next day, but was kind of sad to see that I was only called back to Sigma (even though I loved them dearly) because I thought the other sorority would invite me back too! I shed a few tears, but kept marching through, and I excitedly chatted with members and had fun the second day. Then the third day as I was anticipating pref round, I called a friend who I thought would definitely get the third day, and when she didn't I thought there was no way I'd get a bid. I chatted with one of my favorite Sigmas my last day so I felt good about it, but then came the waiting until bid night. Me and my roommate who I was going through recruitment with took naps because we couldn't bear getting a call saying we didn't make it through. But the time came to go accept our bids, and we made it into Sigma. I only had one possible sorority that could have been in the envelope, but I was soooo grateful that it was Sigma, and it still felt like a surreal moment in my life. Looking back at all the wonderful sisters I have made this semester, I couldn't imagine myself in another sorority. I love my Sigma sisters!
