I'm pretty sure christiangirl knew that Dolly Parton wrote and originally sang the song. Dolly Parton is making money from the success of Houston's version regardless.

Yes, I'm perfectly aware of who wrote it and sang it first. HOWEVER, I was not going off the original version (nor do I prefer it) so I choose to have pro-Whitney leanings in the Whitney thread. Is that too much to ask, people? It's not like I'm putting any wire hangers in your closets.

We've had the "Whitney v. Dolly" discussion surrounding "I Will Always Love You" on GC before, I know this because Dr. Phil and I had to agree to disagree, and she hates that.
