I want to know when "My Favorite Thing" became a Christmas song. It wasn't in the movie and it sure doesn't mention anything related to the season (except snow, maybe? major stretch) but it's annoying to hear it played as a Christmas song.

"Brown paper packages tied up with strings"
"[Doorbells and] sleighbells [and schnitzel with noodles]"
"Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes"
"Silver white winters that melt into springs"

Yeah. I know. My guess is the started adding it because they needed more music for the 24/7 Christmas music on the radio.

I have the same issue with "We Need a Little Christmas" as a Christmas song. The whole point of the song is that they needed a little Christmas when it wasn't Christmas yet. And what really cracks me up about it is that the song specifically says it's the week before Thanksgiving.
