Since the switch to Lifetime, I've noticed that there seem to be more "gimmicky" challenges that really prohibit the designers from doing high quality work. But I also think they're casting people that are novices compared to the earlier seasons, in part maybe because they're going for more drama queen personalities that they think the episodes can revolve around as opposed to the talent. The product integrations have also increased, in number and in weight, which has meant more of the challenges have been, as I said, gimmicky.
