Recycling my costume from last year, since I'm going to a different party: putting on my cutest dress, doing killer makeup, tying a big spoon around my neck, and voila! I'm the dish that ran away with the spoon!
The best part is that it involves stuff I already own, AND regular clothes. I don't do costumes that involve elaborate ensembles in which I can't sit, drive, eat, use the bathroom, etc.
