Not a formal confirmation, bu I remember on an episode of her old show The City, she made the acquaintance of a male model who it turned out had also attended USC. The exchanged their Greek affiliations and she definitely said "Theta".

I've only heard Theta for Whitney as well.
She is also mentioned as a "Famous Theta" on several Theta chapter sites. (Baylor for example)
