WOW so what a whirlwind of emotions today has been! i was so anxious about recruitment/school/not knowing anyone and had a huge meltdown. But i got it together and had such an amazing first night of recruitment! Not only with the sororities, but also with the other girls in my rho gam group. I feel so much more at peace.
SO to the sororities!
Day 1-Slide Show Night
Kim-I was very overwhelmed going in since it was the first house. A nice girl grabbed me and we had a good conversation but it just felt kind of forced. We watched the slide show while the girls sang and danced. I loved their energy and excitement but wasn't wowed. i then spoke with two other girls I felt more comfortable with them but left the house feeling pretty neutral about it.
Next was Kourtney- I loved kourtney! I spoke with only one girl the whole time but we had great conversation. I felt like I could be really open with her. The slide show was great, the only thing that worried me was that they seemed to party a lot. None the less I felt really good about Kourtney and really hope to be invited back to meet more of the girls!
After Kourtney we headed over to Khloe- I just felt really uncomfortable here. The first girl that took me was a REALLY close talker and she passed me off really quickly. The other 2 girls I talked to were nice but I just felt no connection. Most of the girls are athletes, and I'm not at all so we just didn't match up.
Next was Kris- I felt really comfortable in their house but I didn't feel a strong connection to the two girls I talked to. But when they showed their slide show and started dancing I felt like I could see myself in there, even though I didn't connect perfectly with the girls I spoke with tonight.
Then was Bruce- I LOVED Bruce, I Just felt so welcomed and connected and loved. It was such a great experience.
After Bruce was finally Baby Mason- This house just seemed to be SO me. The girls were so so sweet and i had great conversation even though it was me and another PNM sharing a rusher, I just felt really calm and comfortable here.
It was tough to rank.. Kourtney, Bruce, and Baby Mason were all pretty close at this point. But tomorrow we can be invited back to up to 5 houses so I'm keeping my fingers crossed I will get to meet them all again!
