Oh look, we got the PMs line now.
Boring.
Stop saying "we" like you represent anything but you.
Also since you fucking Godwin'd the thread you officially lose and the thread is over.

Wow...hostility! Definitely wasn't looking for that, but OK.
If you read the next one, I'm talking about people I personally direct here (for the good info) and then become scared to ask anything.
G'Day.

So you didn't read my other posts in this thread then, I assume?
Again you make a lot of assumptions, including that I didn't read your posts. Stop doing that.
Also, when you make comparisons that are offensive, like piggybacking on the tragedy of teen suicides to tell us to ~behave~ ourselves, or making a fucking HOLOCAUST reference and comparing GC sockpuppets to the Nazi Schutzstaffel you're being fucking ignorant. Stop it.
Until GCers go to people's homes in the middle of the night and throw them into concentration camps that will never be an acceptable comparison.

You know what? You're right. I apologize and will delete that part. BUT, it is reminscent of McCarthyism (better analogy?) when people become crazy stalkers and start "taking care" of things.
I guess it's probably not fun for you when I can have a calm conversation and admit when I'm wrong. I don't need to resort to profanity.
Many people don't do that here. I'm sincerely not trying to bash...I'm trying to help. Sorry that it's not coming off that way.

Please not this comparison again. Being dramatic in response to perceived drama never works. Find your own way to express your own opinion. Don't make yourself a spokesperson.

Life lesson:
I consider your tone condescending and it makes you that which you despise. Announcing that you are calm and that you are trying to help can receive a negative response on GC and in real life depending on the topic and who you're talking to.

And maybe that's what the very crux of my point is. Given that it's the written word, tone is VERY subjective. I didn't mean to be condescending, and yet I came off that way to you. You (the collective you of course) can come off that way as well, so we should all just be a little more careful in wording I guess.

Agree. I thought it would be one post and done, but apparently a struck a nerve somewhere?

I have no clue who you are talking about or what really happened---you aren't telling us everything---but, if a PNM is that discernable from the rest of the crowd (UT has TONS of PNMs going through), then that's a problem.

I actually wasn't the one talking about this, I just mentioned that thread in general. I haven't said anything (to my memory) in that thread, I just referenced it. And yes, it does concern me (as I believe I mentioned in here) that the poster didn't listen, but do I think she then deserves what she got? NO.

I'm sorry to hear about that young woman's recruitment not working out for her but, maybe you should be pointing the finger at mom who gave away so much information that she was easy to spot. If anything, that is a potentially dangerous situation that you are giving up so much information about your child or loved one that strangers on a website can pick them out of a line-up.
|
So, you are saying she got what she deserved? I'm still really baffled at that.

Seriously...where did I yell? Did I call you by name? If it doesn't apply to you, then don't respond to it. Simple. For the tenth time, I'm just asking people to think about how they can be construed before they post.

But when that happens to us, we explain ourselves, say sorry and move on. We don't preach to everyone that they all need to be nicer. We're typing on a message board.. misunderstandings happen. Get over it.

Look, you screw up, you pay the consequences. The end.

Was that your only point in creating this thread? LOL.

Boohoo to the noob who slithers off? Good gracious. LOL.

Do you seriously think she is justifying what happened? I think you don't really know which battle you're fighting. There are a few battles here, some of which are exaggerated.

Absolutely.
But now I have this mental picture of the GC SS, which made me spit my coffee all over my laptop.

Stop talking about us...uh, them....yeah, THEM like they exist. THEY DO NOT EXIST. Excuse me, I have some things, none of which are the least bit secret, to take care of.

Now, I've got different GC SS regiments going through my head. Different colored shirts for different sororities - (i.e., the Kappas would be known as the Blueshirts).
Also, are the PNMs on GC considered the GC Youth? Preparing for the day when they can join their regiment.
I mean, if we're going to go with the Nazi comparisons, let's do it right.
