Oh no! That's so sad, especially for her family, friends, and all her current and former players.

I didn't care for her as a coach because she kept beating Georgia, lol. but I do wish her well and hope that she recovers quickly. I think her being an athlete will help (hope!)
I dreamed of playing for her from when I was like 5-15. My first AIM screen name was "FutureLadyVol" in hopes of one day being a Lady Vol basektball player. So upsetting to hear this about my childhood role model/ sister.
I am a Lady Vols season ticket holder and a Chi Omega. Pat always talks about the sense of "family" in her program. Today, I feel sad because of this news and how it is/will affect the matriarch of our family.

I had the opportunity to be with Pat Summitt during two separate functions this fall. In my opinion (and understand in no way do I know her well) I think she's doing well. I think she depends strongly on her support system i.e., her son Tyler, her sister Linda, her Assistant Coaches Holly and Mickie and her Chi Omega Sisters from UT-Martin. She seems more guarded and is certainly more comfortable when one of the before mentioned people is by her side.
