Oh, MC...tisk, tisk. Please see the Sorority Recruitment Translation Thread. What she meant was..."I was cut from the worthwhile groups so I dropped out hoping to get a snap bid on the million in one chance that the groups that don't want me won't make quota."

I got cut from all of the groups. I withdrew totally from the process so that I couldn't get snap bids.
It just wasn't meant to happen, and I don't want to be waiting around to get rejected.

Being released from recruitment (ie cut from all the groups) or withdrawing while you still have invitations does not mean you can't received a snap bid. Chances are probably very small, but nothing in the rules preclude it from happening.
