I'm going to be honest with you. There are remnants of the old southern mentality in Texas and prejudice still may exist. However, it is not the only thing that matters. If your friend is a well rounded girl, she WILL still have a chance. I would tell her not to let it matter to her because if she is acting uncomfortable, the active rushing her will pick up on it.
