David, I want to make clear that I do indeed judge organizations and individuals according to the quality of their achievements and good works, and I applaud efforts to recognize them.
When I first posted, I was merely making a joke. At this point, all I'm trying to do is give you some feedback on
my reaction to your business's name and your award's name:
In my opinion, it's tacky and makes a terrible first impression.
In my opinion, "the Classy Awards" sounds like a running SNL joke (see Ron Burgundy reference), not like an actual honor. Obviously, others may not share my opinion, but I would not consider it an honor to win an award for being "classy" -- I'd be a bit embarrassed. (That is making the giant assumption, of course, that anyone would be misguided enough to think that such an award should be given to me.)
But I did vote.
