The campus has experienced significant growth in the past few years (two new dorms, rec center, dining hall, etc.) and could support another greek organization. Not to mention that if TAMUK opens for expansion, does Zeta or ADPi wish to return? When the campus open for expansion a couple years ago, neither org recolonized. Alpha Sigma Alpha colonized at that time.

I just looked and...sorority chapters closed at a school in Texas in the mid-1980s? What on earth happened there?

If you'll notice these were many chapters that closed all through Texas during the 80's and early 90's. All I've ever been able to figure is the oil bust and S&L crisis possibly played a roll in the number of young women attending college and those that opt'd not to go through rush.
