oh heavens, mysticcat, how ever could i forget the 2 fun girls, the darlings or "it's me, it's me, it's ernest t.".
My favor-rite ernest t. episode is when he goes to school to complete his education so he can marry his romena(rowena). i take that back, it is when he tells andy and barney that he was engaged once to Hog (i forgot the last name)'s daughter, Hogette, but he heaved a rock at her to show his love one time and it hit her in the haid, and she ran off with the taxidermist what sewed up her haid.

Taxi: Rev. Jim takes his Driver's Exam
Personally, I think that this is possibly the funniest bit ever seen on regular tv!
I think I've said this here before, but Soap had some great ones, including the memorablel line about when Jody (the first openly gay man on tv - played by Billy Crystal) was marrying a hooker, and a family member was appalled. His mother said, "Well, his father was abducted by aliens, his brother talks through a ventroliquist dummy, his grandfather still thinks he's living during World War II, and she's a hooker. I think he's marrying up!"
I loved The Andy Griffith Show when the two little old ladies are making moon shine!*
*My mother watched Andy Griffith every chance she got. After she passed away, if her little dog heard the theme song, he'd go running to the tv!

Star Trek is considered a sitcom now?
How could I forget:
Seinfeld: " The Strike" -- Hardly anyone remembers Kramer's strike, but it's still a Festivus for the rest of us: The Airing of Grievances, the Feats of Strength . . . "I got a lot of problems with you people!" A true Festivus miracle.
Seinfeld: " The Contest" -- "I am master of my domain." "I am king of my castle." I can still remember watching this one -- and my wife and me laughing so hard we were both crying -- the first time it aired.
