Nostolgia Time! The Things We Do for (Puppy) Love

Sigh.... to appear "cool" I went through Stub-Hub and bought the guy I liked amazing baseball tickets. Right behind the home team (Cleveland) dugout, about 4 or 5 rows back. I bought 4 of them, then called him and told him I won them in a radio contest, but I didn't have anyone else to go with me. You see where this is going right? He came over, I was dressed and ready for the game. He had a buddy with him, they came to the front door, took the tickets said "Hey thanks!" and the 2 of them took off. I was flabbergasted. I was so naive at 19. Only the 2 of them could go, so they ended up selling the other 2 tickets to a scalper. I cried and cried, but after the game he kept calling and thanking me for a few days. Three nights worth of Applebee's tip money down the drain for a few measly thanks yous. I didn't like him very much after that.
