I've seen it too, but oftentimes the people flipping out aren't the ones who've started the opinion threads...they tend to be members of that organization.
Personally, I hate seeing opinion threads like that because it just causes too much drama. And we don't need that kind of drama here on GC...look at the Nicknames thread and you'll see why.
My thing is...don't throw isht out if you can't handle isht thrown back into your face. But that's just me.
