RANT- opinion threads
 

OK, just a rant to get it out.
People who start opinion threads/people who read them (how's XYZ sorority/fraternity at your school) and then get very upset with you if you give an honest answer about how they are/were at your school. Not every chapter everywhere is wonderful.
An opinion is asked for, and I gave mine and got flipped out on. If you don't want to hear it, then don't ask for it or read about it!
A forum is a place for giving opinions, etc. ARGH!
I'm not going to go quit or anything, but sheesh is this annoying.

I've seen it too, but oftentimes the people flipping out aren't the ones who've started the opinion threads...they tend to be members of that organization.

Personally, I hate seeing opinion threads like that because it just causes too much drama. And we don't need that kind of drama here on GC...look at the Nicknames thread and you'll see why.

My thing is...don't throw isht out if you can't handle isht thrown back into your face. But that's just me.

Yeah, there's a reason I don't start those threads or reply to them. One, one person's response may not even be accurate ... I could so easily lie and say, "Yeah, Mu Mu is the ugly-dog sorority on my campus," and two, no one likes hearing the bad news.

I agree that the people who get mad aren't usually those who started the thread.

i agree...i like to know how phi psi are doing on other campuses, but i don't care if you don't like them, or if they are not popular. i would expect that we're not top at every school.
