I love the green and white. Green is my favorite color and... well white is white. Super easy.
I tend to ignore the nautilus even though I feel like that is a "bigger" (is that even the right term?) symbol. So I pay for more to the dagger, however, trying to find accessories, or anything really, with either of those symbols tends to be rather difficult. I rarely find anything outside of the Kappa Delta website/boutique. My boyfriend found a dagger necklace for Christmas and I was beyond amazed.
While I love the symbolism behind each one, I do get tired sometimes of the search. especially when I see owls, keys, arrows etc everywhere.
On a different note, I do refuse to wear keys (or whatever, that is just the in thing over here) because it is a symbol for another sorority. I automatically think of Kappa when I see it. Is that weird?

In all honesty, I have to agree with you on that one. I find myself not wearing anything with a key, squirrel (though it is such a cute animal), anchor, etc. because I don't want anyone to wrongly associate me with another sorority--not because I don't care for those other GLOs but, I almost feel like if I am accidentally representing another sorority, I am somewhat being disrespectful to my GLO. Does that make sense?
I have to say, though-I think lavender and maroon is BEAUTIFUL and I love the color combination. I also really like pink and green. If you asked me, I could find something I LOVE about every GLO.

When I was selecting dining room furniture for one of our chapters, the interior designer recommended a dining chair with a back that looked like a lyre. Although that campus did not have a chapter of Alpha Chi Omega, I told her we simply could not have 200 Alpha Chi Omega chairs. She thought I was nuts because it wasn't actually a lyre design - just looked like one. Funny thing is, later our International Executive Director came to approve my choices. The designer showed her that chair as an option, and the first thing the Executive Director said was, "well those remind me of Alpha Chi Omega. What else do you have?" No disprespect to AXO, but some symbols are so closely related to another GLO that you just can't use them!

I got a gorgeous diamond key necklace for my 21st birthday. I loved wearing it and still do, but one time I was asked by an alumna of my school if i was a Kappa. After that I felt kinda weird about it, but keys are so huge right now I'm over it.
Maybe I will throw my kd lavaliere on there with it to avoid confusion
Green isn't my favorite but I love it and like it more than some other orgs. I LOVE the nautilus shell, and whenever I see it I have to purchase it. It is the only symbol we have that is really ours, and I think its adorable (teddy bears and roses belong to many a sorority)
