Have to completely disagree about
Harry Potter -- at least if we're talking about the books. They are fantastic. The movies -- pretty good to disappointing. The over-marketing? Ugh.
I can truly say, though, that the
Harry Potter books were by
far the most fun books to read out loud with the kids. You can have so much fun with the voices.
