My only issue with the Jergen's lotion (and the reason I stopped using it) is that it fluoresces under a black light! I was at a party once and was kind of amused to see that my skin was literally glowing orange. As long as you plan on avoiding raves, it works well enough.
My new go-to product is the Neutrogena Micro Mist airbrush. I start applying it 3-4 days before an event (although i've done it as close as the day before) and try to get in 3 or so coats. It goes on suprisingly even and really works with my skin tone (olive), so it's a product i definitely would recommend.
