As a Canadian, I am sorry to tell you that the one thing that Canada does BADLY, is TV. Boooooo

Prepare to be disappointed.

I'd love to see the "Real Housewives of St. John's, Newfoundland"....it sure as hell would not be glamourous but the people are pretty genuine and would probably make for some interesting watching.

I think I'd love "reality" television that is based a little closer to reality. I can't be the only one, with the popularity of shows like Deadliest Catch or Ice Road Truckers, though the drama and editing are in full effect. I'm just less interested in rich bitches being dumb and more interested in people doing every day things and living their lives. For all the alleged glamour the OC Housewives are turning into orange love children of Gollum and Joan Rivers.

Well I like a lot of CBC shows, but broadcast I am less familiar with. Most of the stuff I liked was geared towards kids, Degrassi (old was awesome new is awesome funny bad) You Can't Do That on Television, and the stuff we get on PBS here my nephew watches isn't too bad. Caillou he likes, but the British Make Way for Noddy disturbs me, oh and Dinosaur Train upsets him and makes auntie cranky, but it isn't Canadian.

I'll admit to the cliche of liking Red Green, and Kids in the Hall. Trailer Park Boys was great, Drolefille and I are in agreement on Due South, Moccasin Flats and North of 60 are both poignant and resonate with me since I live between two reservations and work with Alaska Native, Native American, and First Nations people. I've been meaning to get a hold of Little Mosque on the Prairie, I think I'd like it and it may be similar to where I live (rural community) with a Muslim population.

I still do the "I'm crushing your head" bit from Kids in the Hall, and I've entered the Red Green Regatta more than once to support PBS.
