Real Housewives of Miami
So now Bravo is looking into expanding RH into Miami...and one cast member is a drag queen?

I truly believe they are making this part of the franchise because Basketball Wives is an easy target for them. As in, BW is such a horrible show they have a great opportunity to claim the Miami brand a bit better.

If I understood correctly, some of the same cast members will be back for the RH episodes. I thought they were good, and I am particularly interested in Katrina and Hardy.

Say it isn't so! It doesn't even sound the least bit interesting. The last time Bravo had a show in Miami, it flopped and was not renewed for a second season.

The cast has been announced & of course, I'll be watching. I do love trainwrecks & each of these shows is a trainwreck. Lol!
Too bad for NY. We'll have to wait a while to watch them.
The cast include:
Adriana DeMoura-Sidi (aka the Brazilian bombshell)
Alexia Echeverria (aka the Cuban Barbie & has admitted she's more like a big sister than a mom to her 2 sons from her first marriage)
Cristy Rice (ex wife of NBA player Glen Rice)
Larsa Pippen (wife of Scottie Pippen & supposedly, the hottest wife in the NBA)
Marysol Patton (a "seer" & PR expert)
Lea Black (wife of defense super-lawyer Roy Black)
Any thoughts? Anyone else going to watch?

Yeah, ditto on that. I was really looking forward to the new NYC season, but at least they've given us something to keep us preoccupied in the meantime. I just hope these women are not a bunch of ghetto-fab heffas like Atlanta and New Jersey.

I'll watch it. It might be better than Basketball Wives.

Did anyone else watch? I'm still unsure of how I feel about these women. Not sure if I really like any one of them yet. I'll keep watching just because I enjoy trainwrecks.

I watched it and probably will not again. I wanted to break my TV everytime the one from Brazil was on. I found it more shallow and more annoying than the other housewive shows.

LOL!! I've had to watch the 1st episode over and over again trying to grasp these women, but ... to no avail. I'm having a tough time. However, I'm still curious about them. I certainly was NOT prepared to see the number of celebrities at the beginning , but that might have been Bravo's way of attracting our attention to the show. I hope I can connect with the cast, and learn more about each women's genuity through the show. I'm still ready and waiting for NY houswives, though.

Oh thank goodness! I'm glad I wasn't the only one who wasn't a fan of Miami. Just seemed kind of boring compared to the other cities. The ladies are hard to connect with and I was disappointed no one from Miami Social was on (I liked that show!). I did like the scenes of the Pippen family (nice to see a basketball player who *hopefully* is committed to his family) and the random scene with Rodman but I don't think that's enough. My DVR is already set for NYC and OC... oh and Bethenny Ever After, love her!

The Hollywood Gossip
Marysol Patton and Mother: Busted for DUI!
Marysol Patton is off to a stellar start as a reality star.
The Real Housewives of Miami cast member was busted on suspicion of drunk driving in January 2010, according to the Florida State Attorney's Office. She avoided jail time by pleading no contest to a lesser charge of reckless driving.
What makes this story even better? Her mother was arrested for the same crime a few months later!
