Call for Step Teams

In fact the Unknown Step Team was one of the groups I had in mind when I sent my reply. The Ques also used to have a team that went around steppin in shows. On the Christian front, Alpha Nu Omega has a real tight team that travels all over. I used to captain a Christian step team that traveled as well. I think with us, we only had 5-6 steppers, no props (chairs, canes, etc), single young fellas with no families, so yes, relatively short notice did not bother us if our schedule was clear. If show wasn’t within 3 hour drive, we would just pass on it.
I appreciate your feedback though, I do agree that a step show planners first option should be to contact groups months in advance, especially if a competition.

Yeah, none of the the things you listed are examples of exceptions. There are too many uncertainties (i.e. relatively short notice did not bother us if our schedule was clear) to wait until the last minute to solicit teams.

I'm going on and on about this because this issue is one of my GLO pet peeves.
