Founderitis-wanting to found their own organization
essentially
I'm sure you will argue that the definition includes elements to eliminate your founders and highlight qualities of the OP or similar aspirants, but since this is not a real word (obviously), this response doesn't matter
Surely you can agree that some people you have deemed to have founderitis have become successful in their endeavor

I find it troubling that you have such little regard for the intrepid men and women that founded our organizations. I was going to respond further, but k_s has pretty much summed it up:

I typically think of founderitis as a new GLO, but I think your first example can also be applicable.
Obviously, not everyone who starts a new chapter of an existing GLO suffers from founderitis - there is often a need for a new chapter in that particular Greek Community. I think founderitis applies more to new organizations because there are very few needs that existing GLOs don't already fulfill, and their are various avenues to attain membership beyond college.

This is actually categorized in the DSM-IV as "I'm Too Good For Those Bitches-Itis."
Men can also suffer from this but the symptoms are typically milder.

This is kind of late, but I am in Alpha Chi Omega and our focus is already on support victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse. That's our philanthropy. Might i suggest that instead of going through the trouble of starting a WHOLE new sorority, why don't you make it where you help organizations that are already formed. I think it'd be a little easier on your part but it is a wonderful idea! But us that are already formed would like some help too!
