I didn't really want to make this a whole new thread so this sorta kinda fits...
Lets say you were sitting on the side of the road and you saw a person walking across the street. then you notice a car barreling down the road and it becomes clear that the car will hit the person crossing the street. You decide to save that person's life. You jump up and push them out of the way, and in the process, you yourself are struck by the car. You are severely injured. NOW. Can you rightfully take action against the driver? Keeping in mind that the driver of the car will likely say that it was your CHOICE to jump up and play hero. Who is at fault?
