can i pledge another fraternity if i am already initiated into another house

I pledged a very large national fraternity that is apart of IFC(will not name names) and was initiated. i have been an active brother for a year now and i am starting to really not like my house. i go to school in california but plan on transfering to a new school next fall is there a possibility that i could pledge another national fraternity and be initiated without them knowing i was ever in another house? and also is there a way that national fraternity could check or find out that i was in another house? i know its kind of messed up but our nationals rules are bunk.
