Don't get me wrong, quite a few of MoveOn.org's tactics have made me want to kick them in the metaphorical dick . . . but in general (and assuming this is true), you probably still shouldn't stomp on people.

But what if you did it to protect someone? Like I said in my OP, apparently "security" thought she was trying to attack Paul.

I was watching CNN news earlier and apparently the guy had put meant to put his foot on her shoulder to restrain her but had brushed her head with his foot in the process. It wasn't a straight on full contact head stomp nor was it meant to be. How I love conflicting reports.

All you have to do is watch the video. The stomp was deliberate and unnecessary.

Obviously security can do what they need to do, but it's at least worth noting:

1 - I haven't seen any real confirmation of the story (from either side), mostly conjecture on what may have happened.

2 - I'd almost guarantee using your foot to restrain someone's shoulder isn't a recommended security technique.

There's degrees of lunatic - I think dudes on the ballfield should get destroyed by players, because the players don't know if the guy has a knife or what, for example - but until we know that degree, I think my general statement of "generally don't stomp people" is fair, no?

I never said that her getting stepped on was at all justified but at the same time I'm not going to be breaking out my violin for her either. She initiated the situation by trying to pull a dumb, immature prank on a politician and it backfired on her. Like I said before, It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt.

Oh I definitely couldn't care less about the particular woman - she seems like the exact kind of political tard (really? bussed in from somewhere else?) that I just don't jive with.

But at the same time, the very best time to support things like "not beating someone's ass" is when they may partially deserve it, but haven't earned it.
