What do you guys think about this? At first I was somewhat disturbed by the idea that supporters of Paul would attack someone just for having different views, but if the guys who held her down sincerely believed she was trying to harm Paul then this changes everything in my eyes. There seems to be a few different "stories" on what happened. I've heard she was wearing the wig for concealment because she was known locally to crash and disrupt GOP events, but the article I posted has her saying she wears the wig for fashion.... I heard an interview with her and she kept stating it was just a prank... no big deal... so dumb on her part IMHO. It's all fun and games until someones head gets stomped on :p I honestly believe that if she had done the same thing to a politician who has a Secret Service detail attached to them this girl would have been taken down harder AND arrested. |
This reminds me of that girl in 2008 who said someone held her down and carved a B in her forehead.

Well you know how you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice. |
I feel that since she was there to cause trouble in the first place, she got exactly as she deserved.

Don't get me wrong, quite a few of MoveOn.org's tactics have made me want to kick them in the metaphorical dick . . . but in general (and assuming this is true), you probably still shouldn't stomp on people.

I was watching CNN news earlier and apparently the guy had put meant to put his foot on her shoulder to restrain her but had brushed her head with his foot in the process. It wasn't a straight on full contact head stomp nor was it meant to be. How I love conflicting reports. |

1 - I haven't seen any real confirmation of the story (from either side), mostly conjecture on what may have happened. 2 - I'd almost guarantee using your foot to restrain someone's shoulder isn't a recommended security technique. There's degrees of lunatic - I think dudes on the ballfield should get destroyed by players, because the players don't know if the guy has a knife or what, for example - but until we know that degree, I think my general statement of "generally don't stomp people" is fair, no? |

I don't believe the people involved were 'security' and could still have been charged with assault and false imprisonment for the restraint or placing feet on shoulder. It's not fucking ok to lay hands, or feet, on someone and it's not ok to stomp them either. Quote:

As a note, I'm a huge Rand Paul fan.

Meh I don't doubt that it actually happened, really to me it's another example of the absurdity of all of these political races.

But at the same time, the very best time to support things like "not beating someone's ass" is when they may partially deserve it, but haven't earned it. |
