Brag about your pets!

This is my Miniature Pinscher, Hansel. He's from a shelter, but fits the "breed standard" enough that I was able to put him on the Pet Alternative Listing through the AKC. He's so handsome that we were invited to be the breed representative at our local kennel club fair in November!
Here is my fave pic of him from this summer, sailing away on Lake Mendota. He looks so happy and nautical!



Note: he can, indeed, swim, but doesn't do so voluntarily. Whenever we're on a boat on a decent-sized body of water, I think it'd be a lot easier to grab him if he were to fall in if he's wearing his little doggy PFD. Safety first for my four-legged child!

Riley is the same way. That picture of her in the water is rare, and she would only venture into the shallow areas. SO had her fetching toys, but when they landed in deep water she ran downstream and waited for them to come to her.
