However if you transfer schools, a lot of times the school you transfer to does not accept the GPA from the school you transferred from. You just get credit/nocredit for the classes based on your new school's requirements.
Same as taking a CC class over the summer and then taking the credit back to school with you.

This is exactly correct. She could have 4.0's both semesters from university B but University A will only take her University A GPA into account which she has said is a 2.53. So chances are her credits transfered so she's junior standing with a 2.5. ANd that would be a HUGE grade risk.
