Just a thought to throw in the loop... it appears the other groups who presented at Chapman didn't mention anything about this on GC. I think only one other group was mentioned (of 3 or 4?), but I did a search on here, and none of the other groups mentioned anything about it until it was over and a decision had been made...
I think it's a good idea to keep things somewhat quiet - what's the point in publicizing that we weren't chosen at certain universities? And, to echo what
DeltaBetaAGD said, just because we're presenting doesn't mean there will be a colony! I wouldn't want to get my hopes up (and the hopes of many others) just to find out that it's not happening for one reason or another. That's why we elect our International Council to make these decisions in the best interest of the Fraternity.
Am I babbling yet?
Also, I've never really seen publicity about colonizations in the Q or otherwise... it's usually just the installation that gets publicity - unless you're local to the colony, and then you're sent the info to help out and recruit alumnae initiates.
