You should get Xtra-Tufs and put your own insoles in. I was so comfortable this summer, and they come in steel toe if you are required to be safe.

I feel old when college freshmen, and new fratties flirt with me and I feel like a creeper. This is exponentially worse when they are shirtless. I'm in a relationship but if I wasn't I still wouldn't be interested. I need someone who knows what a card catalog is and when we had discmans and no iPods.

Try a Sleep Number bed before the Serta. They are AMAZING!!! I'm having a similar problem.

Yes, they're more of a "born in the mid-90s" thing, and they're very popular with parents having kids now.

I'm pretty sure the first books I read were Richard Scary type ones and good ol Dr. Seuss.

Ditto. She is truly awful. And it's hard to escape her, since she's a guest artist on EVERYONE else's singles. I'll be happy to see Nicki and Drake's stars fade.

She's doing what Lil Wayne taught her to do. Be EVERYWHERE. She's a hot plastic surgery mess. Argh.

Drake? I refuse to acknowledge his existence. I saw the MTV commercial announcing his stage performance on some show.

Southern Hardcore Rock... Like "Maylene And The Sons of Disaster"

Now I'd called it country, blues, rock--something, but kids call it something else... LOL!!!

Bless they hearts...

I have a friends who cast their first votes ever for then-California Gov. Jerry Brown in the 1976 presidential primaries. Gov. Brown was seen as the future of the Democratic party; I think he was all of 38 years old at the time. The more things change...

The other day I used the term "Rockefeller Republican." In mock horror, one of my friends said "You mean Jay Rockefeller used to be a Republican?!?"

The above story does lead to another point, I remember when "liberal Republican" and "conservative Democrat" were not contradictions-in-terms

Y'know, having conversations about how good music was back in "our day" is making me feel old.

So is the prospect of getting in late from work and having to cook dinner. That plan may turn into ordering Dominos and having a beer.

On other notes: KSU--you shut UP I still watch SBTB faithfully before I leave for work in the AM.

Ppl laugh @ Buffy but it was SO the throwback Twilight/True Blood.

I would absolutely go to a 90s party. Bring on the Poetic Justice braids, mini backpacks, thigh highs and Zima.

They read, but it is stuff like Harry Potter and Twilight. I'd have to go into my archive, but there was a study done to see if Harry Potter did increase reading among children, and it didn't increase over all. Kids would read only when a new Harry Potter book came out, and not find other books to read in the interim.

I may, in fact, be done with you. LOL

Consider yourself lucky lol If you've ever listened to the radio, though, you've probably heard her (she's on 2.3 million singles right now)

I don't understand the jokes in the "You Laugh, You Lose" thread. That makes me feel very old.

I am teaching the children of former students. Last year I taught 3 grandchildren of people who graduated with my husband and he is a year younger than me.

I remember the world before the Lil Wayne, Nikki Minaj (sp?) and Justin Bieber takeover, and even before Spice Girls and N'Sync.

Does that make me old?
