But you started pledging at the second school, correct?
For this reason you really should NOT characterize it as a "detour" and someplace you weren't planning on staying from the get-go. As I said in the other thread, you don't have to volunteer that you started pledging and then dropped, but if it comes out that you KNEW you were only going to be there for a brief time and accepted a bid anyway, that might not go over well with some people. I took your posts in the other thread to mean that you initially planned to stay there, but circumstances changed and you couldn't stay due to financial issues.
You would be better off to say, as you did in the previous thread, that you left the second school due to unforseen financial problems.

Giving her the benefit of the doubt, since she said she only pledged for a week, it is possible going in that she didn't realize the life-long commitment until after she accepted the bid, and that's part of the reason she quit, knowing that she was going to transfer.

That "only pledged for a week" thing is a new post I didn't see til now.
But still, even if it was a just-for-college commitment, if you know ahead of time you're at someplace as just a stopgap measure, there are people who wouldn't dig that.

Yikes. That changes things for my post earlier in this thread. I will now go back and edit.
Thanks for the catch.
