Indeed. Because you have to be willing to accept help to break down the walls and allow yourself to feel vulnerable again. Just like you were when you were very young. Only then can the ego be guided back into adulthood.

Projecting oneself onto the therapist is normal in these situations. It is only later that you will realize you have been doing it. Once that occurs we can begin the moral recognition therapy. It is time you learn to let go of the hurt your mother caused and forgive your father for being the male where you were just the child.
