So it's the night before recruitment starts and I'm both calmer than I've ever been and stressed to the max at the same time. Now, don't take that the wrong way, I'm excited as ever! But, I'm also worried that it may not work out the way I want it to.

Even so, I know that there is only one thing I can do and that's be the bubbly, fun loving, outgoing girl I am and hope everything will work out.

Well I have some items in the mail coming for me, that might or might not be here in time. Hopefully they will be. If not, I always have other clothes I can wear. I'm just hoping for the new ones!

Anyway, on to the fun stuff! As you can imagine, I have been “babbling” to my boyfriend (to which he has named me his “Babbling Brook”, you all can call me Brooke if you wish. It seems to be my new nickname around home), his family, my family, and all of my friends non-stop the past week. Telling 'em facts, thoughts, what each day will entail, what my outfits, everything!

I'm pretty sure everyone that knows me can't wait for this week to be over. Ha ha.

Well, gotta go spend the night trying to relax before my big day tomorrow!

So today was the first day of Recruitment. It was the “Meet your RC and PNM groups day” so nothing too exciting yet.

I thought I would inform you of the girls I know in sororities though. :]

Alright, so the first girl I know is a Jess. I've known her for.. six years, I think? Might be seven or eight, but I fail at remembering. Either way, she has always been SUPER sweet to everyone, me included. I remember always saying that she was the sweetest girl in school. Either way, we are still in contact with each other. We aren't exactly “friends” per se, but we do talk on occasion.

The next girl I know is an Emily, and I know even less about her. I know that we've been in school and classes together for about the same time as girl #1, but I only ever had her in one class I think, and that was in 7th grade.

Okay, now, on to what actually happened today.

I got to New Member Check-In around 12:10 and was out by 12:30pm. I got my shirt and was told that I needed to be back in a few hours for my PNM meeting with my RC. So I went home, ate lunch with the boyfriend, watched him play Red Dead Redemption (Oh boys and their toys..) and has a relaxing afternoon.

Later, around 4:00pm I met with my RC and PNM group. We discussed hazing, alcohol violations/underage drinking, who to talk to about hazing, how to get help in college, types of hazing, things like that. After the presentation, we were divided up into our RC groups. I got a really sweet girl we will call Anna. She had her partner who wasn't really our groups' RC (she had her own group of girls) but she sat in on our meeting and said we could go to her if we needed anything. I'll call her Jamie. What's funny is that I'm pretty sure I know Jamie from high school. If I get the chance, I'm gonna ask her what school she went to. :]

Well, time to unwind with my drink of choice (hot chocolate) and get ready for my first real day tomorrow!
