Its suhweet! The screen is amazing (bundling Avatar with it shows it off even more). Swype is the greatest thing since messaging was invented on a mobile device. The accuracy of it stuns me at time. I have very few complaints if any right now. I'm still learning the it but its a really good device.

Live Coverage of Steve Jobs backpedalling about iPhone 4 problems

- All iPhone 4 owners are eligible for free bumpers (iCondoms)

- No software fix for iPhone 4 antenna issues

- Apple says just 0.55% of iPhone owners have reported antenna problems

"Maybe Eminem will come out with a band-aid that goes over the corner and everyone will want that." - Steve Jobs

*Facepalm* ....that was Nelly

Steve came across as being so arrogant to me during this speech.

Someone made the joke over on Gizmodo that 0.55% of owners reported problems. The other 99.45% couldn't make the call because they were holding the phone the "wrong" way.

I'm afraid I'm quite the big Pokemon fan still. In fact, once I get my student aid cheque this Fall, I intend to go to Best Buy and pick up a DS and HeartGold. ;-P

Figured this was a good enough place to post this. I was having a discussion with my friend and I wanted to see what you guys thought. Who do you think was historically the greatest scientific mind? Personally I'm torn between Nikola Tesla and Enrico Fermi.

/late...

I just got the cliq xt and I'm enjoying it...the only thing I like about the Iphone is the screen is bigger...but I will adjust...

I haven't adjusted to the swipe keyboard, I think my fingers are too big.

Also I'm lamenting that I can not geek out at ComicCon this year...I thought I would be at a wedding this weekend, so I didn't purchase tixs..now its too late to try to find a place to crash at..although I could get tix.

Next year maybe...again if the wedding doesn't happen during the same weekend.

Actually while he was brilliant, I do tend to think Einstein was a bit overrated. The 2 people I named I think contributed more to physics and mankind in general.

Is 3D dead already??

From Gizmodo

Earlier today I reported on the unlikelihood that the next Batman movie will be in 3D. But is that a fluke or part of a trend? If box office numbers are any indication, it's definitely the latter.

Since the high-water mark of Avatar, where 71% of the revenue came from 3D screenings, numbers for big-budget 3D movies have plummeted to less than 50%.

Obviously Avatar was a unique case in that it was basically sold as a 3D "experience," so if you saw it in 2D you were missing out. But then three months later the animated How to Train Your Dragon pulled in 68% of its revenue from 3D screens, hardly a significant drop-off.

Fast forward a mere four months and you have Despicable Me, another 3D animated kids movie, pulling in 45% of its revenue from 3D screens. As you can see by The Wrap's chart below, it's a pretty clear trend.

What's this mean? It means that now that people have had a chance to experience 3D in theaters, they're opting to spend $10 on a 2D screening rather than $15 on a 3D screening when given the option.

It's not great news for Hollywood studios that have sunk boatloads of money into 3D cameras and tech, but it's much, much worse news for consumer electronics companies such as Sony and Panasonic who are betting the farm on people wanting to upgrade two-year-old HDTVs to 3D HDTVs. But if Hollywood finds that making 3D movies isn't as profitable as they thought, they'll stop doing it. And without that content, no one will have any reason to buy a 3D TV.

It's far too early to make predictions, I think we're just coming down off the "must put 3D in everything" high.

But there's a big difference between something like "Avatar" that is FILMED in 3D and something like Clash of the Titans and The Last Airbender that have 3D added later. Animated films are closer to the former than the latter.

Batman shouldn't be in 3D, it wouldn't add anything to the movie other than a headache and extra costs.

Slow news day at Gizmodo.

3D technology really isn't at the point where everybody would flock to see it anyway. It bothers too many people really.

My biggest issue at movie theaters is that the glasses don't sit right over MY glasses. I feel like everything's just a bit off and I end up trying to angle them so they sit closer to my eyes. When I was in Disney World and Universal Studios they had 3D glasses (that you had to return) that fit over glasses and those worked SO much better. Obviously random movie theaters aren't going to have those, so I'm not sure what the solution is.
