Whether flowers are carried over the arm or in front of you depends on the bouquet shape and the type of flower. The tulips in the photo above are a "presentation bouquet" - you often see calla lillies held in the same way. However, it would not look right to hold a round bouquet, which is hand-tied and wired, and has shorter stems, in the same way.
For my October wedding, I'm going with fall colors - deep reds, fiery orange, gold and plum. My bridesmaid dresses are "Scarlet."
