I think that people need to be aware that they are putting their whole lives "out there" when they might not mean to. Too many people use their real names , their "regular" online identities, even email addresses, and then go on to post things that they think won't be linked back to them.

True, but I think there's a fuzzy line where you warn people about that and where you google them and post hints that you know more about them. And when the person's done nothing more than ask a question no matter how poorly... like I said. Creepy.
