For me, he's been a constant in my life and his music has been the soundtrack to several life events. Granted, some of his songs and lyrics are like
WTF? (I still don't know what chum-on means or where that shit came from), but he was a fun artist and made me excited about music.
I guess it's the same way people feel about Elvis or the Beatles (neither of which I particularly care for, but I "get it").
