Me too, but I drove by this place a couple of months ago and was stunned by the big statue. I bet it was well insured and will be rebuilt even bigger and bolder.

The 3 days and it will be rebuilt was LOL funny.

When did God start taking lessons from Zeus?

It's more likely a sign that people built a really large flammable object without a lightning rod and put it in the middle of a body of water.

It was a breathtakingly beautiful statue.

I've only heard of it since it burned down, though. I'm sure I would be annoyed by it if I had to see it everyday and if drivers were distracted by it.
