I've been waiting a while, but since the blackhawks just won, I need to get some of my anger out somewhere.

1. If you're a shoe-in, why are you on greekchat?
2. Not all exec positions get a vote and are supposed to be neutral, so you realize you might not even get your sister's vote?
3. What exactly is this "best social calender?" I feel like this is an opinion, not a fact, and therefore your idea of the best social calendar is not the same as every PNM and Greek member at UF. Please enlighten me.
4. If you are a PNM, by saying your sister is in a high exec position, you have pretty much given your identity away to every UF girl on these boards
5. Anyone up for some volleyball? I'd offer up my yard but it's muddy right now.

Thank you. It's one of my pet peeves. I HATE it when I hear people, especially undergrads, refer to a chapter as a house.

Our NM manuals state that "you belong to a sorority and a chapter, not a house."

With that said, the only people I've heard call it that are older alumnae who pledged in the 80s when "house" was the common term (at least here it was). Most of the younger girls I know use the term chapter.

Say what? I thought they were both in the "family house."

And I'm sorry, but "they are both much loved" sounds like something my grandmother would (and did) say. She would be 112 if she were still alive. It also sounds like something some recent trolls would say. It does not, however, sound like something a high school senior would say.

First, it's "y'all," not "yall." Anyone with your Southern upbringing should know that.

And we have lives. Right now, you're providing free entertainment for our lives. Thanks for footing the bill.

Maybe its just me but I think I missed the volleyball thing (and I've heard it referenced a lot so I'm guessing it's a troll thing).....
... anyone care to fill me in?

This is exactly what I was thinking, but I'm not sure if I've always used it properly on GC.

Maybe it's a regional thing, because I still hear it all the time.

See this thread:

Her posts have all been deleted but people quoted her. She basically said that she wore her sister's letters all the time, she's more southern than everyone, and that her mom took her to formals. LOL.

And that her great-grandmother was a chapter founder.

Hence why I'm suspecting kdlady80 of being related to this whole situation trollwise.

Now you are officially a troll. Only a troll would get MORE specific about her identity. A random crazy would delete everything and flounce.
