Mentioning that you're interested in adopting a child of a different race than you was unnecessary and leaves yourself open to conversations that it sounds like you're not necessarily educated on or ready to have. I don't know. But when you put it out there it becomes something to comment on.
Also, apologizing here is again, probably not the best of options. Particularly because you didn't actually do anything 'wrong' you just seem kind of oblivious about how some people will take your words and can't handle it when they take them in a different way from which you meant them.

Twilight seriously sucks! I liked the books (only because I could read the whole series in a week.) The chick that plays Bella makes me want to slap her. The last one was the creepiest! Imprinting on a baby and having the child grown up quickly to marry Jacob. It was just a little too fundamentalist mormon to me!
