You know, I love tribal councils near the end. The reactions of the Jury are entertaining.

I don't particularly care for Rupert, but after how last night played out, I don't really want any of them to win, because I think they've all lost their freakin' minds. There is no strategy left at all. It's Russell trying to "control" the game, and the girls, who at one moment are "girl power" and the next are doing whatever Russell tells them. It's a complete toss-up on the F3 and winner. The only one who seems to be fighting their way to the end is Russell, and he's not going to get many jury votes.

I do find it interesting that the two from the oldest season (since they didn't have any Season 1 people - HA! Richard, pay your taxes) are still around. I thought both of them would be gone at the beginning. Neither one of them did anything particularly impressive, and Jerri even got herself associated with Coach. Eesh.

Colby says the same thing on the Insider clips. And the Insider clips also suggest that, at least recently, he's the one guy the women want to be around and he knows it. That may have helped him some.

I don't think Parvati is doing that. I think she wants Russell to think he's in control and wants to go to the Final 2/3 with himl because she thinks she can beat him.

I was going to be so mad at Sandra if she hadn't played the idol. And did you catch that Russell voted for Rupert, not Sandra? Rupert seemed to realize that, with the look he gave Russell.

Funny how a person can play the same game with the same result.

I have had a crush on Colby for years now. I will miss him. I think this was a great season... much better than previous all stars seasons.

Jerri was funny on the reunion show with her comment about everybody hating her the first time around and liking her this time. It was true though!

I love how Russel did not get a single vote. And I loved Sandra for burning his hat.

I'm really ok with Sandra winning...I didn't think I would be.

I wish when they were talking about Colby being older and not as good at challenges that they would have played the comment about "Superman wearing a fat suit" - I think JT said it, but it was priceless.

I found myself really pulling for Jerri in that last immunity challenge. It caught me off guard, since I hadn't really been that big of a Jerri fan throughout the season. Go figure.

I'm not surprised that Russell got zero votes - his social game, as expected, was terrible. Maybe some day he'll realize that and, should the opportunity present itself, he'll play smarter next time. Doubtful, but you never know.

I'm surprised Sandra won. I completely expected Parv to pull it off. I guess her association with Russell sealed her fate.

Superman in a fat suit was James I think.

I was really expecting Parvati to win myself. Actually I was thinking that it would have been Jerri if she made it to the final 3. But once I saw she didn't I thought Parv. Really surprised Sandra won twice with the exact same game.

Russell had some lines that made him look even more stupid than usual

1) "I am taking Sandra with me since she will get absolutely no votes from the jury." Look who received no votes.
2) "I did what I set out to do, I made them all look like idiots." Who looked like an idiot?
3) Regarding Sandra burning his hat, "That was a great move. By burning my hat, you made me all flustered at tribal council." Russell, do you honestly believe you would have won had the hat not been burned?

Yep to both.

I was pulling for Parvati, but I'm okay with Sandra. At least Parvati showed good sportsmanship about it, unlike Russell.

Boston Rob and Jeff nailed Russell. He plays to get to the final 3, not to win, and he plays the game the way he thinks it should be (with America voting) and not the way it actually is. So glad he didn't get a single vote.

6-3. If you mean who voted? Dani, Coach and Jerri for Parv and everybody else for Sandra.

Lame ending. Sandra is the most worthless player in Survivor history and there is NO WAY she deserved to win.

Parvati probably deserved it the most because she played the social aspect of the game better than Russell, but I still wanted him to win.

I don't know. After winning once before, she went for 7 tribal councils after the merge with no alliance in place and no immunity (that anyone knew about) and still managed to make it to the final three. Pretty impressive to me.

Meanwhile, in his Reality News Online interview, Russell claims that Jeff Probst is "warped" and doesn't understand the game because he has bought into the erroneous notion that there is a "social aspect" to the game -- "there’s no social game on the [Outplay, Outwit, Outlast] sign." (Of course, this time the sign said "Return, Revenge, Redemption.")

He really needs to be quiet and go away. Permanently.

ETA: This is interesting from Jerri's RNO interview:
RNO: Why did you decide to vote for Parvati at the end after having initially indicated you’d probably vote for Russell?

Jerri: Russell made it very easy for me not to vote for him. When I got voted out, I really did respect the way Russell played the game… for the most part. We all make mistakes, definitely. Just judging by the decisions that Russell made and how they made a lot of sense for me as well, I was willing to give him my vote.

But sitting in the final Tribal Council and listening to him basically belittle and slap every single one of us in the face by saying things like denying that there was any luck involved in his game… We all know Survivor is 90% luck. And denying that anyone else helped him… I personally saved his butt one time specifically by choosing him over Rob. Not showing any gratitude, not being apologetic, not being respectful of all the people he had to oust. His arrogance just made me sick and there was no possible way I could give him my vote.

RNO: It was discussed at last night’s reunion, but who do you think is the best Survivor player ever?

Jerri: Oh wow. I have to say, I gotta give props to Parvati. I really do. That’s why I voted for her. She is probably one of the best social players, even though her flirtations are so blatant and out in the open and so sickening. I was so amazed at how it worked. I want to be friends with her for a long time because I want to learn her mojo. She played such a great strategic, physical, and mental game. Underneath it all, though, I am super happy that Sandra won if only because Russell absolutely hates her. It was poetic justice.
Colby basically says the same thing about Russell not getting any votes because of his arrogance.

I just read Jeff's last blog from this season - great, as always. I hope he continues to blog in future seasons. Anyway, this little gem was too good not to share. You tell 'em, Jeff!
