thank you. maybe it's just me (prolly not), but while i do understand wanting a nice house if you can afford it, i don't get having MANY more rooms than there are people.

"Malthus,", says [former] Vice President Al Gore in Earth in the Balance, "was right in predicting that the population would grow geometrically." Al, as the father of four children, should know.

Overall, though, it's the bigness of the car that counts the most. Because when something bad happens in a really big car – accidentally speeding through the middle of a gang of unruly young people who have been taunting you in a drive-in restaurant, for instance – it happens very far away – way out at the end of your fenders. It's like a civil war in Africa; you know, it doesn't really concern you too much. - P.J. O'Rourke

SAME! I have never understood that. WTF DO YOU DO WITH ALL THOSE ROOMS??

My best friend's family just decided to move. Their house was nice; 3 bed, 3 bath...perfect size for a family a four. However, they DID take in a friend of one of the daughters...her dad passed away when she was young, and her mom recently had serious medical problems, which put her in a nursing home. The friend's family had to sell their house (her two older brothers were already moved out and married, the daughter, who is graduating from college this year, was still living there with the mom)...so yes, I can see an extra room would have been nice.

They moved to a 6 bedroom, 6 bathroom HUGE (and gorgeous) house! Don't get me wrong, it's absolutely beautiful, and if they can afford it, why not, I guess...But my best friend and her friend who moved in with them are graduating this year, so they'll be moving out fairly soon. The younger daughter is a freshmen in college, and knowing her she probably won't even move back after she graduates...so I'm just curious to know what it's going to be like for two people to live in that gigantic house.
