Here are a few examples of some responses I was expecting:

"I go to blank university and only knew of two juniors who received bids, so it's not impossible but it will be very difficult."

"It depends on the school but I think, the fact that you chose other activities before rushing for two previous years, is a negative aspect."

"I think being involved around campus will be to your benefit."

"I think you need to read the other similar threads." (To which I would have responded the same way I have been: "I already have.")

"It's always an advantage to be a freshman with a high GPA."

"You're hopeless, if you still don't know what to expect."

"what school/ how competitive are you talking about? Is your GPA high?"etc........

I certainly wasn't hoping for rainbows, but I was crossing my fingers for people to respond AFTER reading the OP.

Alas, you win, I give up.
Yes, Juniors can receive bids. Happens all the time.

Yes, Juniors get cut and do not receive bids. Happens all the time.

We can't give you that here. We can't say "No, you are screwed" or "Yes- you have a shot!" because we don't know your specific school, the chapters involved, etc. We don't do (real) blanket responses regarding individual chances.

The first advice you received was great:

Only people who know the school can give you a realistic picture of it. I can tell you how my school was, but that doesn't help you. The only thing we can tell you for sure, given what we know, is that you won't know unless you try. Good luck to you.
