Holy Jesus. This is going to be my last post on this thread only because it's clearly deteriorated into a bashfest, for no reason. I'm not even offended, I just can't figure out why it's so hard for so many people to understand.

Here are a few examples of some responses I was expecting:

"I go to blank university and only knew of two juniors who received bids, so it's not impossible but it will be very difficult."

"It depends on the school but I think, the fact that you chose other activities before rushing for two previous years, is a negative aspect."

"I think being involved around campus will be to your benefit."

"I think you need to read the other similar threads." (To which I would have responded the same way I have been: "I already have.")

"It's always an advantage to be a freshman with a high GPA."

"You're hopeless, if you still don't know what to expect."

"what school/ how competitive are you talking about? Is your GPA high?"etc........

I certainly wasn't hoping for rainbows, but I was crossing my fingers for people to respond AFTER reading the OP.

Alas, you win, I give up.

Yes, Juniors can receive bids. Happens all the time.

Yes, Juniors get cut and do not receive bids. Happens all the time.

We can't give you that here. We can't say "No, you are screwed" or "Yes- you have a shot!" because we don't know your specific school, the chapters involved, etc. We don't do (real) blanket responses regarding individual chances.

The first advice you received was great:

Only people who know the school can give you a realistic picture of it. I can tell you how my school was, but that doesn't help you. The only thing we can tell you for sure, given what we know, is that you won't know unless you try. Good luck to you.

I'm so so sorry we got all Tyler Durden on you and told you you are not a unique snowflake.

I'm so so sorry that there isn't a thread that says "If you are a junior rushing at the University of Southern Mississippi, if you have written for the school paper and played volleyball on the second newest dorm's intramural team, and if your GPA is 3.25, you have approximately a 75.32659951% chance of receiving a bid to your first choice and a 82.264568765165% chance of receiving a bid in general. Proceed accordingly."

If you want to "out" your school, go ahead, but the majority of GCers are not going to ask you that straight out. The general belief on here is that it's good to encourage PNMs to be discreet about where they're rushing, especially if they are in unique circumstances.

If you would have really read the other threads, then you would have seen all of the above comments within them. That is why the advice to "do a search" was the best advice. Why should people have to answer the same question 90+ times? That is why people are frustrated with you. The "answers" that you are looking for are already out there in the threads that you claim to have read.

Likewise, we can't figure out why it's so hard for you to understand that you ARE getting answers - answers similar to those you expected. Various posters have told you that we don't know. That it depends on your school. You've been directed to other threads on GC. For whatever reason, none of these answers is satisfactory to you.

You've gotten as much help as GC is willing to provide. Best to let this go, now. Good luck with recruitment.

Oh, and your flounce is showing.

If you knew the answers, why did you ask the question?

LOL wide-eyed, the lesson to be learned here is:

if 2+ users with join dates preceding 2009 make any comments that you do not agree with or feel are being sarcastic/rude...
don't even try with a comeback. you WILL fail. miserably.
