That's why I said "pro-abortion."
When it comes to pregnancy, I believe that people have a right to control what's happening to their body to the best of their ability and they DON'T have to justify it to anyone as long as they are terminating the pregnancy during a legal period. That's related to when I think "life" and "gifts from God" begin and its variance based on whether it's wanted or unwanted.

LOL I don't like that term either but you were, indeed, excluded from the rant, doc.

I thought it was a general rant, anyway.
You either think abortion is a viable alternative for people (if done within the legal and medical restrictions) or you don't. If you do, that's pro-abortion as far as I'm concerned. Being pro-abortion doesn't mean you're going against your religion, femininity, or any of that other stuff that attempts to control people's bodies.

I thought of this thread when I heard 2 separate groups of kids, 1 group of 6th graders and another group of 7th graders talking about how "lame" it is that so-and-so were virgins. The things that came out of these 11 and 12 year olds was CRAZY!! How open they were about the sex they were having and such was shocking!

I'm going to pray that they were all actually virgins and everything they said was a bluff to sound cool.
Yes, I know that is incredibly improbable.

So must I
But seriously, this is proof of why sex education needs to be brought back into the schools. Obviously the parents aren't doing it at home.
I know some teachers are like "we have too much to do as it is" and don't get me wrong, I do, but as a leader for the next generation, I have to be aware that some parents out there just shouldn't be parents. We are in the "entitled" generation and the parents just give in and want to be their child's friend. They need to learn and be aware.
I started getting sex education in 4th grade. In high school, I had a great teacher who not only preached abstinence but said "if you're gonna have sex be safe and here is how you can be safe". But I was also the generation where AIDS was on the forefront of the news, so most of the high schoolers with me, were absolutely TERRIFIED of getting AIDS (as they rightly should be). Unfortunately now, AIDS cases are increasing as awareness is dying off. But sex education has gone the way of the dinosaur.
