Which is why I'm extremely amused and entertained by people on both sides of this topic.

WTF???? It's comments like the above is why some people hate conversing with you. You could have simply said how uncomfortable you were with him giving you care without the racially tinged slant. If he said soemthing to you that might be different but within the scope of this thread that's really not here nor there.

Hmmm. It was threatening to become Revenge of the Stoopids for awhile there.

I understand it but it didn't really need to be said for her to get her point across.

The main idea of it was that she wants to feel comfortable with her doctor, but to preface it like that, everyone misses that idea.

"Being comfortable with your doctor is key. When he/she creates an environment that removes that feeling of comfort and you feel compelled to leave, then essentially they have turned you away." <---- all she needed to say and would have been her strong point.

For clarity, I was talking about the Republican thing on the last page, not the KKK thing quoted on this page.

Oh I didn't say I agreed with the MD getting a pass because he was a Republican and rich. I was just saying that, from the responses DI got, it was seriously misread.

What is so incredibly stupid is the fact that you and others ignore an ENTIRE post only to zero in on ONE statement. You're just LOOKING for drama. Grow up.

To reiterate my point from that post: if a doctor makes patients feel uncomfortable to the point that they feel they should leave, that doctor IS turning patients away.

And it doesn't matter whether he is a specialist or not. He shouldn't create that environment for patients. He has a duty to treat all patients regardless of race, gender, politics, etc.

But he truly doesn't deserve the press he is so desperately courting. That just adds fuel to his fire.
Sorry, but if you're going to make an comment that to me, as a (GASP) Republican and a future physician, is offensive, I'm going to say something.

Not to even mention other points in your post that have been brought up.

Nobody here is "looking" for drama. YOU create it all on your own. That, just as someone else said, is why some people dislike participating in discussions with you.

I was explaining WHY I felt uncomfortable and responding to a question someone posed about going to a physician despite feeling uncomfortable. I can describe that in any way I choose. What is the point of being as dramatic as YOU are being? You are blowing it waaaaay out of proportion. So don't tell me what is here or there. Seeing as how I never provided transcripts of our conversations, you can't say WHAT might be different. Stop throwing a tantrum. Grow up.

People don't have to agree with and/or like everything you say/type and how you say/type it.

I think I understood what deepimpact2 was saying. If the doctor is essentially turning people away (based on the limited info that ALL of us have on this doctor's office) then something should be done. However, money, power and respect (what you need in life) MIGHT result in nothing being done other than media attention.

I ignored the "Republican" in her post because ALL political parties are bullshit and it sucks that people feel such party loyalty and sensitivity that they get offended at any mention of Dem, Repub, lib, conserv...and any of that other pointless shit. People need to see the forest through the trees (or whatever the hell).

If you, deepimpact2, didn't bring racial elements into almost all aspects of your posts, then people wouldn't be so quick to point them out...have you ever considered that?

We can understand why without blow by blow telecasts from your thought bubbles.

I don' bring racial elements into almost ALL of my posts. But if I decide to do that from here on out, exactly who are you to tell me not to do it?

Perhaps you should realize that these threads go downhill because you suddenly decide to spark an argument about something trivial instead of sticking to the matter at hand. If you notice, I was talking about the doctor and his sign. THAT is the real issue here. My discussion about my own doctor was a sidebar.
